Systems Engineer
Overview
Business Development Manager – Liquid Cooling at BYD North America.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow liquid cooling solutions across North America and APAC.
- Identify and engage key stakeholders at enterprise organizations, hyperscalers, cloud providers, OEMs, and colocation data centers.
- Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and client presentations to proposals, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver customized liquid cooling solutions addressing customer technical and operational needs.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and technical forums to strengthen brand presence.
- Provide market intelligence on liquid cooling adoption, competitive landscape, and regulatory considerations to support product development and strategy.
- Act as the primary account contact for key accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships and high customer satisfaction.
- Build relationships with client stakeholders across technical, operations, and executive teams.
- Understand customer roadmaps, sustainability goals, and cooling infrastructure challenges to recommend tailored solutions and identify upsell opportunities.
- Partner with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams for seamless delivery and implementation of liquid cooling systems.
- Conduct regular account reviews and performance reports to track progress, identify risks, and uncover growth opportunities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of B2B sales or business development experience in data center infrastructure, liquid cooling, thermal management, or related technologies.
- Strong technical understanding of cooling technologies (liquid immersion, direct-to-chip cooling, heat exchangers, etc.) and their role in HPC and data centers.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin strongly preferred.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, global team environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for customer engagements and industry events.
- Experience with hyperscalers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), HPC customers, or large data center operators adopting advanced cooling technologies.
- Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency regulations driving liquid cooling adoption.
- Established professional network in the Silicon Valley tech ecosystem or global data center infrastructure community.
