Thermal SQA Engineer

Job Description

Skills:

• Experience troubleshooting Hardware and Software
• Understand thermal measurement methodologies, e.g. thermocouple placement, acquiring readings using automated data acquisition, thermocouple rework
• Has a previous track record of conducting tests – with the ability to summarize data
• Basic machine shop experience and use of hand tools (Dremel tools, hand drills, files, metal shear, basic soldering skills etc.)
• Experience with Terminal and a Unix command line environment
• Elementary coding/scripting experience (Unix Shell or Python), and software troubleshooting and debugging skills, and Labview Experience is a plus but nice to have

• Setup, deployment, and maintenance of test devices and fixtures for use in testing in different controlled environments from 10C to 55C.
• Building models, disassembling, modifying and reassembling systems
• Working with cross-functional teams to run software-hardware test plans and procedures
• Creating test reports and summaries
• Development and implementation of thermal test methods based on feedback from the design team
• Thermal lab management including: organization of lab space and equipment
• Handling of prototype hardware; adherence to protocols regarding handling of sensitive units
