Innovation Engineer

Compensation:
Up to $250K base + equity

Our client, a well‑funded Silicon Valley EDA startup led by founders with multiple successful exits, is seeking a Signal Integrity / Power Integrity Innovation Engineer to join its founding technical team. This opportunity is ideal for a hands‑on SI/PI expert who thrives in fast‑paced, creative environments and wants to shape the next generation of electrical verification tools.

• Conduct independent research, exploration, and prototyping of new approaches to electrical analysis, debugging, verification, and optimization
• Develop tools and methodologies for electrical verification of IC, 3
  
  DIC, PCB, and other complex electronic systems
• Combine internal tool development, open‑source tools, and commercial platforms into new solutions
• Collaborate with the internal software development team and help set its technical direction
• Debug SI, PI, EM, and layout parasitic problems
• Work closely with customers and partners to evangelize the company’s tools and drive the development feedback loop
• Support product, applications, and customer engagement efforts

• Expertise in several of the following areas:
• Industrial SI/PI work
• Computational electromagnetics (theory, applications, and EDA tool development)
• SI/PI tools such as SPICE, S‑parameter analysis, Ansys, Cadence, Keysight, or similar simulation and measurement platforms, including scripting and automation
• IC parasitic extraction
• IC, package, 3
  
  DIC, and PCB design flow and methodology
• Debugging SI, PI, EM, and layout parasitic issues
• Scripting and software development (Python, C++, etc.)
• Willingness and ability to support product, applications, and customer work
• A startup mindset: someone who prefers speed, autonomy, and direct customer access over the bureaucracy and silos of large organizations
