You will primarily be responsible for implementing features for the Siri user experience. This is a broad-range task; to succeed in this role, you must be a strong programmer and a creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, working across teams and organizations. You love building an elegant user experience for a distributed system at massive scale, pursuing impossible problems.

You enjoy learning new technologies and creating life‑changing applications. You possess strong skills in object‑oriented software design and programming. Performance analysis and tuning will also be a significant responsibility in your job, building on a deep understanding of common data structures, algorithms, and their performance implications. You are passionate about working closely with the design team to develop new user experiences, maintaining existing code, and creating new platform features & technologies.

You have fundamental knowledge of machine learning technologies and how to apply them. You’ll ship code that runs on the devices you use every day and powers products that are important to the lives of millions of users.

• M.S./B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in iOS or macOS development
• Excellent interpersonal skills in a collaborative team environment
• Knowledge of modern object-oriented architecture and design
• Passionate about creating great customer experiences
• Fundamental understanding of machine learning capabilities

• Demonstrated expertise with using machine learning to power customer experiences
• Expert in performance and optimization of on-device software
• Experience working in large codebases and distributed process architectures

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
