SW Embedded Engineer

Work with a leading global consumer electronics company on innovative imaging and video technologies.

Develop applications, drivers, and firmware for advanced image/video compression and processing features such as camera capture, video calls, and wireless streaming. You’ll work on embedded systems and real-time platforms, leveraging C/C++ for multithreaded programming, debugging, and performance optimization. There’s a strong focus on automated testing using the client’s internal frameworks. Experience with video codecs and Python integration is a big plus.

This is a hands‑on role with significant impact – your contributions will reach millions of users worldwide.

This is a one‑year, W‑2 contract engagement to start, with potential for extension/renewal.

• 3+ Years of industry experience in embedded systems or firmware development.
• Strong proficiency in C and/or C++.
• Solid understanding of real‑time operating systems (RTOS), multi‑threading, mutexes, semaphores, and concurrent programming.
• Experience working hands‑on with embedded devices and hardware bring‑up.
• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• Experience with video codecs and compression technologies.
• Familiarity with test framework and automated testing practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving, software design, and debugging skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional engineering teams.
