Software Development Engineer in Test; SDET), Video Apps

Overview

Imagine what you could do here. The Video Applications team is looking for a full-stack Software Developer in Test with experience in testing iOS/macOS apps, cloud-based frameworks and APIs. A passion for video editing to contribute to the production of innovative tools for creative professionals, video makers and visual storytellers is desirable.

• Plan, design, write, maintain and execute test cases manually and through automation using Swift and Python.
• Drive all aspects of quality and process improvements to ensure features are rock-solid and ready for release to customers.
• Report bugs with effective isolation and regression techniques.
• Balance a wide variety of deliverables by managing priorities and communicating progress/risks clearly and systematically.

Ongoing curiosity and dedication to self-education in video/photo technologies and new testing techniques will help you stand out. You will work closely with other team members to coordinate multi-functional test efforts.

• 5+ years experience in QA/QE
• 2+ years experience as a Software Engineer in Test, programming in Python and/or Swift to prototype features and test with internal tools.
• Proficiency in testing mobile/desktop apps, cloud-based frameworks, and backend/APIs. Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, QA terminology, processes and test planning.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent of 5+ years relevant experience required

Base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees may participate in discretionary stock programs and stock purchase plans.
