** - Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those in need? - As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will plan and provide comprehensive nursing care in a dynamic environment.
- Your role includes:
- Executing Licensed Independent Provider’s orders with precision.
- Dispensing and administering medications in adherence to protocols.
- Assisting Licensed Independent Providers during examinations and treatments.
- Applying advanced nursing and supervisory techniques tailored to the care of inmates/residents.
- Conducting thorough examinations and assessments for new or ill/injured inmates/residents.
- Performing emergency procedures as required and notifying providers for treatment orders.
- Monitoring hospitalizations for early releases when appropriate.
- Guiding and supervising nursing care provided by vocational/practical nursing staff.
- Maintaining a collaborative relationship with facility staff and external healthcare providers.
- Evaluating the provision of medical services to prevent inefficiencies and duplications.
- Protecting the confidentiality of all medical records with absolute integrity.
- Assisting in medical file reviews to ensure accurate documentation of services provided.
- Closely monitoring potential catastrophic illnesses and auditing pharmacy use.
- Observing and recording inmate/resident behavior and inspecting medical units for contraband.
- Providing health counseling and education on both individual and group levels.
- Preparing and maintaining a variety of records, reports, and logs.
- Reading and interpreting medical procedures, regulations, and documents efficiently.
- Attending court hearings as necessary in response to lawsuits.
- Facilitating national accreditation of the medical program by delivering effective medical services.
- Preparing safety and accident reports and taking appropriate action in emergencies.
