TEACHER - Elementary Art

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must hold proper state certification, with concentration in art education

REPORTS TO:

Principal and / or Superintendent

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 Day Contract

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Provides art instruction to students and emphasizes the importance of art work through quality exhibitions.

FSLA: Exempt - Certified

REQUIREMENTS:

1) Educational Level: Bachelor Degree in Art Education or a related field

2) Certification/License: Valid GA teacher certification or eligibility for GA certification in Art

3)

Preferred Experience:

Prior Art teaching experience preferred

4) Physical

Activities:

Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities

5) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Written and oral communication; instructional strategies that connect the curriculum to the learners; student management

6) Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
