Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio is seeking a dynamic and experienced Club Director to oversee daily operations at our LINCOLN ELEMENTARY CLUB location in Cuyahoga Falls, OH
. Position reports to the Regional Area Director and will serve as the lead person at the site working with Administration, Club staff and volunteers. The Club Director is responsible for program delivery, youth engagement & safety, staff supervision, and community engagement at one location to provide members with a supervised, fun and safe Club experience.
- Ensure programs and services prepare youth for success consistent with BGCA commitment to quality
- Promote, stimulate and recruit student membership for the Club
- Recruit, select and manage program staff
- Perform administrative and operational tasks
- Cultivate positive and beneficial relationships with local business people, school officials, politicians, parents and other social service agencies and the community at large
- Ensure building and property of the Club are safe, clean and in good condition for daily programming
- Provide guidance and be a Role Model
Skills & Requirements:
- Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university required
- Five years’ work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the development needs of young people
- Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel
- Ability to recruit, train, supervise & motivate staff
- Effective communication skills both oral and written
- Final candidates must clear a background check and drug test
- Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents, and community leaders
- Valid State Driver’s License & CPR certification required (or obtain within 6 months of hire)
