Position Summary

The Senior Product Engineer is a senior-level technical leader responsible for guiding the engineering team in the development and implementation of innovative window solutions. This role involves overseeing complex projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring that engineering practices align with the company's goals and standards. The Sr. Product Engineer acts as a mentor by driving best practices. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise and leadership experience to drive the company's window development efforts forward.

Key

Accountabilities Technical Leadership
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of innovative window solutions.
  • Serve as a technical expert in window design and engineering decisions.
  • Key member of the Engineering leadership team as a partner to the VP of Engineering.
  • Drive innovation by researching and implementing new technologies and methodologies.
Project Management
  • Oversee and manage large‑scale, complex engineering projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project requirements and objectives.
Mentorship and Team Development
  • Mentor and coach junior and mid‑level engineers to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Lead by example, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Act as a liaison between engineering and other departments, such as product management, quality, sourcing, manufacturing, etc.
  • Communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Ensure stakeholder requirements and feedback are incorporated into engineering projects.
Required Education, Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in fenestration engineering.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering large‑scale engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of window design, engineering, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
  • Master's degree in engineering.
  • Broad experience in the fenestration and building products industry as well as exposure to other functional areas (i.e., operations, procurement, product management, product development, R&D); a proven track record of success will set you apart.
  • Previous experience in a similar senior technical role within a fast‑paced environment.
