Athletic Trainer/ATC (Part-Time) - Cuyahoga Falls, OH

Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center is hiring for a part-time Athletic Trainer/ATC in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. The role supports Physicians and Mid-level Providers in the clinic, hospital, and DME settings.

• Assist Physicians and/or Mid-level Providers in the clinic and in other settings (hospital, DME department).
• Fit and educate patients on Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as prescribed; apply and remove casts; manage the DME program including insurance and billing; liaise between staff, physicians, DME supervisor, and manager.
• Assist in maintenance of equipment, supplies, and exam rooms.
• Ensure patient forms are complete, current, and entered into EMR; review progress notes and stat orders; prepare charge tickets and act on stat orders.
• Enter DME charges with appropriate modifiers; dispense DME accurately in the inventory management system.
• Obtain insurance authorizations for DME; explain coverage and benefits per DME guidelines; fit orthoses including evaluation, modification, fitting, and patient training.
• Schedule DME appointments and coordinate referrals to vendors per insurance restrictions.
• Provide back-up coverage and assist in daily office routines as needed.
• Monitor and maintain office equipment; order supplies; clean, sterilize, and stock exam rooms; maintain cleanliness; restock within budget; report repairs.
• Assist with procedures, gather equipment, position patient, apply/remove dressings, casts, and splints; provide DME instruction.
• Prepare discharge materials and ensure follow-up appointments are scheduled.
• Provide patient education on the plan of care; ensure appropriate documentation and charge tickets.
• Attend in-services and departmental meetings.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Education:
  
  Bachelors degree in Athletic Training or related field from an accredited program.
• Experience:
  
  3-5 years as an Athletic Trainer or related field preferred.
• Certifications/Licenses/Registrations:
  Current Ohio OTPTAT Board license to practice Athletic Training; BOC certification preferred; BLS required.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday-Friday 7:30 AM–5:00 PM;
  Variable days.
• Status:
  Part-Time, 32 hours per week.
