Business Development & Technical Services Manager

Our client, a multinational advanced chemical solutions company, is seeking a Technical Services & Business Development Manager to join their team.

Our client is a German multinational company known for advanced chemical solutions. The company produces technically innovative amino-resin based products used in high-performance coatings and specialty industrial applications. Their products serve diverse sectors, including tire manufacturing, paper production, textiles, and laminates. Employees contribute to specialized solutions that support demanding industrial performance requirements and long-term customer partnerships.

As the Technical Services & Business Development Manager this is a hybrid role in which you would provide technical solutions and services to customers across the Americas while driving business growth in the coatings, specialty, and technical resins markets.

This role partners closely with Commercial, Research and Development, and Operations to develop customer solutions, identify new business opportunities, support product and application development, and strengthen strategic customer relationships.

Candidates must be located within the U.S. and travel into the office may be required. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer. Work sponsorship or Visa transfer is not available at this time.

• Provide technical support and customized solutions to customers through remote and in-person engagement.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers and strategic partners.
• Identify new markets, customers, applications, and business opportunities and drive projects from concept through implementation.
• Support customer complaint resolution, root cause analysis, process improvements, and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Provide technical training, presentations, and support materials for customers, distributors, and the Commercial organization.
• Collaborate with the Global Sales and R&D teams to support sales growth and contribution margin objectives.
• Attend customer visits, conferences, and trade shows to develop relationships and gather market intelligence.
• Support strategic partnerships with customers, suppliers, universities, and other organizations.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of chemical industry experience, preferably in coatings or resins.
• Strong knowledge of resin chemistry and coatings applications.
• Experience in technical customer service and business development.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into technical and commercial solutions.
• Strong relationship‑building and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50% by car/air, including internationally.

Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000 annually commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position is eligible for annual bonus.
