Job OverviewWe’re looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Organisational Development Coordinator to join our Workforce & Organisational Development team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board on a 12‑month maternity cover basis. The role supports learning and development activities for over 16,000 staff, acting as the team’s expert administrator for the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) and Oracle Learning Management (OLM) systems. You will also provide high‑quality coordination and administrative support to a range of exciting OD programmes and projects, creating engaging communications and analysing data to inform improvement.
MainDuties
- Provide comprehensive administration and coordination to enable the OD function to run smoothly and efficiently.
- Use the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) and Oracle Learning Management (OLM) modules, acting as the team’s expert for any issues.
- Create visually engaging learning and advertising materials to enhance the professional reputation of the OD function.
- Generate and analyse data relating to the team’s activities to identify issues and trends.
- Proactively identify ways of improving the efficiency or effectiveness of the OD services and implement improvements.
- CQFW Level 4 or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience.
- Evidence of recent CPD relevant to the work of the ABUHB Organisational Development team.
- Specialist knowledge of using ESR and OLM to create courses, offerings, and classes.
- Ability to establish and record learning pathways in ESR for appropriate staffing groups.
- Providing advice and training to colleagues and the wider organisation.
- Recording learner attendance/non‑attendance, creating and applying competencies, and reporting via NHS Wales eLearning.
- Effective written, telephone and face‑to‑face communication with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Providing a high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Providing an excellent administrative service to a busy team.
- Working without supervision when required.
- Working with online databases (preferably Oracle or equivalent).
- Competent creation of data reports and analysis of data to identify issues/trends.
- Competent use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working in the NHS.
- Project management experience.
- Administration of a teaching/training service.
- Authoring of web pages (preferably using Cascade).
- Well organised, able to switch between tasks and manage multiple issues.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks to meet competing demands and deadlines.
- Independent work without direct supervision.
- High professional standards with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable with data and data analysis/manipulation.
- Ability to analyse problems and initiate appropriate solutions.
- Ability to speak Welsh at Level 2 (as defined by the Welsh Language Skills Matrix).
- Role‑model our organisational values and behaviours at all times and be able to describe and demonstrate their importance.
- Willingness to answer the telephone and welcome face‑to‑face events using bilingual greetings.
- Ability to travel between ABUHB sites for work, and minimal travel within NHS Wales or nationally to represent the Health Board at meetings or events.
