SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School, Support for Children with Complex Learning Needs

Location:

Cwmbran, Torfaen County Borough.

Salary: £90.00 per day (minimum)

We're seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a leading specialist provider working within a vibrant primary school in Cwmbran. This full-time, long-term position offers a rewarding opportunity to support children with complex learning difficulties in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide general classroom support to enhance learning experiences for all pupils

* Work closely with the Class Teacher to develop engaging, inclusive lesson plans

* Support children with very complex learning difficulties, tailoring approaches to meet individual needs

* Assist with behavioral and emotional support strategies

* Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

* Promote positive relationships with children, staff, and parents

Requirements:

* Previous experience working with children with complex learning needs or challenging behaviors

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Adaptability and patience in a dynamic classroom setting

* Relevant qualifications in education, SEND, or childcare are desirable

* Enthusiasm for supporting children’s development and inclusion

Working Pattern:

* Full-time, long-term role, Monday to Friday

* Hours:

8:30 am – 3:30 pm
