Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with transferable experience working with children and young people?

We're recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary schools in Cwmbran. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced TAs, graduates and candidates looking to build a career in education.

The Role
  • Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assist teachers with engaging lessons and classroom activities
  • Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs where required
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

Who We're Looking For
  • Experience working with children or young people is essential (work, placement or volunteering)
  • Patient, reliable and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Welsh-speaking desirable but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
