Design Engineer; In-Service Solution

Overview

Design Engineer (In Service Solution) – Safran Seats, Newport (South Wales)." Safran Seats is a leading aircraft seats manufacturer for crew and passengers."

• Support customers in service operations, maintain regular communications, and resolve all customer concerns within planned timescales.
• Log, investigate, and coordinate root cause analysis reviews to understand causes of in-service failures.
• Participate in design reviews of new product development to ensure lessons learned are applied to new designs and reduce ISI issues.
• Provide engineering support to the Part 145 Facility.
• Conduct drawing changes to reflect new material requirements with regard to obsolescence.

• Essential:
  Experienced user of CATIA V5 (or other 3D CAD packages); good understanding of manufacturing processes, design for manufacture and assembly.
• Desirable:
  Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification; experience of engineering data requirements.

• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work unsupervised / self-motivated.
• Good teamwork and ability to communicate at all levels.
