Yolk Recruitment is exclusively partnered with a global engineering and manufacturing business to recruit a Graduate Mechanical Engineer into a specialist engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity to build your career in mechanical development, working alongside experienced engineers on real engineering projects from concept through to production.
This isn't limited to CAD work, you'll gain exposure across design, testing, validation, manufacturing and product development, giving you the opportunity to develop into a well-rounded Mechanical Engineer.
The business designs specialist mechanical products supplied to some of the world's leading manufacturers, offering genuine technical variety and the chance to learn from experienced engineers in a supportive environment.
This is what you'll be doing
Supporting the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD
Producing engineering drawings and technical documentation
Assisting with engineering calculations and technical problem solving
Supporting prototype builds, testing and product validation
Working with manufacturing and quality teams to help improve products and resolve engineering issues
Learning about hydraulic and mechanically actuated systems through hands-on engineering projects
Developing your technical knowledge while taking increasing ownership of engineering tasks
The experience you'll bring to the team
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Strong understanding of core mechanical engineering principles and engineering mathematics
Good problem-solving ability and an analytical approach
Practical mindset with an enthusiasm for learning
Hands on capabilities - you'll roll up your sleeves and get hands on with products at times
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team

Salary of £30,000 - £35,000
