Job overview

The Welsh Ambulance Services NHS University Trust are looking for a dynamic Listening to People Administrator to join our Patient Safety and Listening To People work streams. The role is varied and rewarding, where you will play a vital role in supporting work that helps keep patients safe across the Trust and responding to patient concerns.

Working closely with specialist patient safety colleagues and the Listening to People team, the role involves handling highly sensitive information and supporting colleagues and the public. The work you do will cover 999 emergency responses, face to face and remote clinical care, planned healthcare transport and the 111 service.

This post will initially be based in the Patient Safety team. The base for the position will be at either Matrix One
- Swansea or Beacon House – Cwmbran and will be confirmed on appointment. Please note that the job description is awaiting an update to reflect the new Listening to People Guidance.

Main duties of the job

Registering patient safety incidents, complaints and case summaries from the Medical Examiner, the post holder will possess proven experience in healthcare and/or administrative functions and will be proficient in the use of a variety of IT systems. You will be responsible for recording information promptly and maintaining accurate records as well as ensuring that all information is handled appropriately, confidentially, and in line with organisational policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

You will offer support to some internal meetings and have a flexible approach to working alongside colleagues in a welcoming and fast-paced team.

The role offers exposure to a variety of clinical governance work and is an excellent development opportunity for anyone interested in patient experience or patient safety.
