We have an excellent opportunity for support workers to work alongside our client in Cwmbran, Monmouthshire on a bank basis.
Our client is a female in her 60's who has complex needs due to spinal injury including, manual handling, continence care, hypersensitivity to touch, neuropathic pain in the lower half of her body, memory issues and difficulty with emotional regulation, anxiety and depression.
She lives in her own home (an adapted bungalow) enjoys audio books, her garden and creative writing.
She's also looking to learn archery and want's to engage in her local community more.
Due to the client’s support needs the successful candidate can be either female or male, will need to have some experience working with complex needs, ideally mental health support and possess the softer skills of being a clear communicator with the motivation and ability to engage the client to build a solid, supporting relationship.
Living as independent a life as possible is very important to our client so experience helping people grow and maintain this area is also key.
Pay: £15.00 per hour weekdays & £17.00 per hour weekend days
Hours:
08:00 - 20:00 day shifts and 08.00 - 20.00 waking and sleep shifts available

Requirements: A genuine passion for working with people and providing care.

Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
Reliability, commitment, and flexibility.
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
To be able to deal with challenging behaviours.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
