Maintenance Technician

Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Cypress, California
.

Overview

The role involves supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining production equipment with a focus on vacuum pumps, electrical systems, and PLC-controlled machinery. The technician will ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and contribute to continuous improvement in plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize production interruptions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in CMMS.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on vacuum pumps, electrical systems, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Provide technical support for equipment upgrades, process improvements, and new installations.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering to identify root causes of recurring issues and recommend solutions.
