Machine Operator, Manufacturing Production, CNC Machinist
2nd Shift Machinist – $25.00-$27.00/hr, Monday‑Friday 2pm‑10:30pm, Onsite:
Cypress, CA.
Training on 1st shift 6am‑2:30pm; once trained, moved to 2pm‑10:30pm shift.
Key Accountabilities- Work to machine dimensions and maintain close tolerances, ensuring precision, concentricity, finish, and parallelism.
- Select speeds and feeds based on material type and finish requirements.
- Use shims, wedges, parallels, blocks, supports, chucks, and other fixtures to align and secure work, preventing tool or part movement or breakage.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to inspect in‑process or finished parts, validating form, feature characteristics, and manufacturing methods against blueprint specifications.
- Lift items up to approximately 40 pounds, work overtime, and/or work any shift as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of machine shop experience, including operating mills, lathes, etc.
- Basic knowledge of operating precision tools, machining methods, and cutting qualities of metals.
- Experience with manual and CNC operation on a variety of mills, lathes, grinders, and coordinate measuring machines.
- 2+ years of machining experience.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Trade school technical certificate.
