This position requires a knowledgeable and experienced business professional to identify, develop, and close net new business opportunities focused on the Utilities market. The role applies HID Global’s share‑of‑wallet strategy to enhance HID Global’s image and expand sales opportunities in the Utilities vertical. The professional will act as HID’s “Trusted Advisor” to both end‑user and consultant communities, delivering pull‑through sales value for HID’s Physical Access Control products and services.

The ideal candidate will be located within the West Coast region.

Responsibilities
  • Apply HID Physical Access Control Solutions Global Business Unit strategy by utilizing data to identify named accounts and key consultants within the higher education vertical.
  • Identify, prioritize, schedule, pursue, and deliver strategic key end‑user sales and project opportunities.
  • Build long‑term relationships through direct and indirect touchpoints and innovative marketing tools.
  • Conduct end‑user seminars and training to educate on future technologies.
  • Provide end‑user presentations during face‑to‑face introductory meetings.
  • Develop and schedule deployment of required end‑user programs to meet individual needs.
  • Understand the business models of named end‑user accounts and coordinate with internal technical resources to communicate technology transitions.
  • Provide educational/awareness briefings to reinforce HID Global’s role as a trusted advisor.
  • Collaborate with other departments and functional groups to support HID Global’s goals.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of key end‑users and stay current on product knowledge.
  • Attend industry trade shows, meetings, and corporate events to represent HID and provide presentations.
  • Provide timely and accurate monthly status reports of group activities using Salesforce.
  • Support end‑user marketing efforts by developing whitepapers, brochures, and lead nurturing tools.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or business‑related field (advanced degree plus a plus).
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in security or related industry, with emphasis on physical access control solutions.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales or business development experience at channel and end‑user level in North America.
  • Previous exposure to the consultant community and end‑user project requirements.
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions to end‑users.
  • Clear understanding of higher education market culture, environment, and decision processes.
  • Proficient technical knowledge of Physical Access Control Solutions (PACS) and authentication markets.
  • Excellent communication skills with executive personnel and corporate decision makers.
  • Knowledge of HID Global’s sales ecosystem and PACS road map.
