Administrative Assistant III to Director of Community Programs
Join Cypress‑Fairbanks ISD in supporting the Director of Community Programs as an experienced administrative professional.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED equivalent; college credits with office skills training or equivalent business school training preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of administrative secretarial experience; experience in public education settings preferred.
- Knowledge of school district organization, operations and administrative policies, procedures, and business practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required;
Google Suite and Adobe experience preferred. - Effective verbal (receptive and expressive) and written communication skills, detail‑oriented with the ability to problem‑solve a wide variety of complex and confidential matters.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and multi‑task numerous complex administrative activities while managing time with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress.
250 days
Salary/Paygrade$39,742 – CP6 (Salary range based on experience as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2025‑2026)
Essential Functions- Prepare correspondence, forms, schedules, contracts, and reports for the Director of Community Programs.
- Manage the Community Programs department calendar and scheduling of events/meetings.
- Manage the social media sites for the department.
- Manage the email accounts for the Community Programs department, as assigned.
- Maintain physical and electronic department files.
- Assist with quotes and purchase orders for department purchases.
- Assist Community Programs employees with questions regarding policies and practices.
- Answer and respond to incoming calls, take reliable messages and route to appropriate staff; assist directly with routine inquiries.
- Meet department and district deadlines.
- Act as backup for various positions within the Community Programs department, including but not limited to receptionist and registration clerk.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Assist with special projects.
- Work as part of a team to contribute to the success of the Community Programs department.
- Provide quality customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Programs.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer.
