The Part-Time Worker - Private Music Lesson Teacher position will assist students in developing their individual music performance skills and enrich instruction in middle and high school band, orchestra, and choir classes. We offer private after-school lessons on the following instruments: voice, violin, viola, cello, string bass, flute, clarinet, bassoon, oboe, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, and percussion.

• Recommendation from a District department or campus. Must meet requirements for hire for the selected position.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred for all positions.
• Bachelor's degree or higher from recognized, accredited college or university preferred/not required for tutors and/or professional positions.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
• Ability to demonstrate a professional appearance and attitude, maintain confidentiality, and abide by Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District policies.

This is a temporary assignment, available to work less than 20 hours per week for one school year. This position does not require paying into the Teacher Retirement System (TRS).

The hourly rate will be determined based on the position and department budget.

• Perform duties assigned by supervisors, campus leaders, or staff.

Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer. Exposure to indoor/outdoor environments, noise, and extended periods of sitting/standing.
