This position is responsible for the civil/process analysis, and detailed design of water and wastewater plant systems. Assignments will include coordinating and developing calculations, contracts, technical specifications, and design standards, as well as implementing those designs for the construction of these facilities. This is a “hands‑on” position that integrates the experience of design, construction, and operation of water supply and wastewater treatment systems to provide a complete engineering experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform and coordinate civil/process engineering analyses and detailed design for Water Plants and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
- Establish civil/structural design requirements for Water and Wastewater Systems.
- Calculations to AISC and ACI Codes.
- Evaluate and define appropriate civil engineering solutions for a wide variety of projects.
- Develop, communicate, and coordinate project scope, budget, and schedules.
- Develop and coordinate construction contracts, master/design standards, and technical specifications.
- Interface with clients, vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare permit applications and coordination of local & state approvals.
- Ensure technical accuracy, standard engineering practices, and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and construction plans.
- Prepare technical documentation, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Review construction submittals such as shop drawings, and Contractor Requests for Information.
- Salary based on education and experience – 90 day Probationary Period.
- Simple IRA with matching (after 90 day probationary period).
- 120 hours PTO, additional 40 hours after 3 years.
- Bonus quarterly based on performance/profits.
- Schedule:
40 hours week, on-site with flexible hours.
