UTHSCH Patient Access Representative

InGenesis is currently seeking a Patient Access Representative to work with our client. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring medical necessity compliance, verifying eligibility, and posting payments.

• Obtain and enter patient, insurance, and financial information.
• Schedule patient appointments and enter the required information in the computer system.
• Explain the required forms to the patient or guarantor and obtain necessary signatures.
• Ensure medical necessity compliance.
• Collect patient liability, establish payment arrangements, discuss payment options, and screen for eligibility.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and ensure all notifications and authorizations are completed within the required time frames.
• Post payments and generate patient receipts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a hospital or medical business office setting.
• Ability to multi-task.
