HR Specialist, Transportation

$39,742 - CP6 (Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year)

Essential Functions
  • Receive and initiate the workflow process for hourly transportation recommendations.
  • Communicate salary information to entry level new hires.
  • Coordinate new employee orientations.
  • Set-up interviews and maintain interview calendar.
  • Review references.
  • Process payroll actions such as resignations and transfers.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets regarding new hires, staff lists, vacancies.
  • Assist employees with general questions.
  • Participate in department recruitment efforts and retention programs.
  • Assist with keeping all department social media platforms updated.
  • Prepare and run reports as needed.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Promote and support department initiatives and goals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; some college preferred.
  • Three (3) years of administrative assistant experience or three (3) years of experience in human resources or transportation preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Adobe.
  • Proficient with social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Experience utilizing and maintaining a variety of databases with the ability to export data and reports from a variety of sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of individuals and complex issues.
  • Demonstrated personal integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks and change assignments on short notice, with little or no direction.
  • Experience presenting to groups of various sizes.
