Telework will be considered for all candidates. Reporting to a Bowhead office is also available.

• Coordinate with shipping companies (Fed Ex, UPS, moving companies).
• Negotiate supplier terms & conditions, including price.
• Prepare Request for Quote (RFQ).
• Understand quality deficiency reports, non-cancel/non-return orders, and request for variance.
• Compile information and records to prepare purchase orders.
• Verify specifications of purchase requests.
• Expedite orders.
• Evaluate bids and select suppliers.
• Maintain SharePoint site.
• Coordinate collection and preparation of reports.
• Review and answer correspondence.

• Seven or more years of professional experience working with government contract procurement, purchasing, and/or buying.
• Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint.
• Knowledge of Materials (Purchasing & Inventory) in a purchasing environment.

• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.

There are currently no Security Clearance requirements for this position; however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check. Due to the location of this work, U.S. Citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
