Purpose

Valkyrie Enterprises needs an Aegis Weapon System Technical and Tactical Instructor to support the Schoolhouse and Waterfront Teaching Cadre and partner with a multi‑instructor workforce for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) serving international customers such as Japan, Korea, Spain, Norway and Australia, in support of our Surface Combat System Training Command.

Job Description

• Provide technical and tactical instruction in schoolhouse and shipboard environments.
• Develop and implement updates to Aegis curriculum training products.
• Develop new curriculum and modify existing curriculum.
• Interface with a diverse workforce including program management, engineers, customers, and other contractors.

Qualifications

• Strong Aegis technical and tactical background with at least 10 years of experience.
• Tactical Action Officer (TAO) qualification or an Air Defense Coordinator qualification from an Aegis class ship.
• Navy shipboard or Navy instructor training with Aegis Baseline 7 or Baseline 9 technical and operational experience.
• Strong communication skills ability to work in the team environment and individual.
• Shipboard experience.

Desired Qualifications

• Prefer a BA/BS in a related discipline and at least 2 years experience in training development and delivery, OR Associate's Degree in related field and at least 4 years.
• Prefer a Naval Officer who was/is a SWO, LDO, CWO.
• Master Training Specialist.
• Weapons Tactics Instructor (WTI).
• Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) or Interface Control Officer (ICO) preferred.
• Air Warfare Coordinator (AWC) qualification.

Security Requirements

• Active DoD Secret security clearance or clearance in interim.
• Eligibility to maintain a clearance.

Travel Requirements

• Must be able to travel at least 50% domestic and OCONUS.
• Must obtain and maintain appropriate identification credentials such as REAL  the start of the position.

Physical Requirements

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
