Junior Tactical Systems Technician

Amentum is seeking Junior Tactical Systems Technicians to join our team.

You will be part of our growing systems, information & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts in support of our Centers of Excellence. We are looking for individuals to join our team atmosphere that are eager to make a difference by solving complex Digital Engineering challenges. Apply your skills to the latest DoD weapons and sensor systems, modernizing the Navy and contributing to mission success.

Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and interact directly with customers and engineering personnel.

Contingent on contract award

• Responsible for managing Test Environments at various labs, including the Aegis Weapon System Baselines.
• System setup, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, as well as providing support to facility users during test events.
• Document all work performed and ensure compliance with security procedures.

• Four (4) years of general Naval tactical operations maintenance experience, to include training and simulation/stimulation systems demonstrates an established knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to specific technical disciplines. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Provide laboratory engineering, tactical and simulation systems operations support, tactical test support, hardware and computer program installations support, lab test event support, preventative and corrective maintenance, and technical analysis.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI US Government Clearance.

• Candidates must maintain a valid Real r’s license required for access to customer site and have access to reliable transportation (rideshare options such as Uber, Lyft etc. are not permitted) as this position requires occasional travel between local worksites during the week.
