Junior Systems Engineer​/Analyst

Job Overview

Amentum is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our engineering team in Dahlgren, VA.

We support the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile Program by researching concepts, developing and installing fleet capabilities, and advising the government.

• Support engineering teams in the development of the Strategic Weapons System.
• Perform analysis and problem‑solving techniques necessary to execute professional scientific/engineering work.
• Work independently and with others within established teams across organizations to meet schedule‑driven timelines.
• Perform audits of Fire Control Software and related products to ensure compliance.
• Provide engineering support throughout the development cycle and assist with technical briefs.

• Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree in engineering, science, or a related technical discipline.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government clearance. U.S. citizenship required.

• Experience working with NSWC Dahlgren or other SLBM organizations.
• Experience performing software audits.
