Junior Laboratory Operations Information Technology Specialist

Amentum is seeking Junior Laboratory Operations Information Technology Specialists to join our team.

You will be part of our growing systems, information technology & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts in support of our Centers of Excellence.

We are looking for individuals to join our team atmosphere who are eager to make a difference by solving complex Digital Engineering challenges. Apply your skills to the latest DoD weapons and sensor systems, modernizing the Navy and contributing to mission success. Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and interact directly with customers and engineering personnel.

Provides knowledge and analysis of IT applications and operational environments, functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on various problems.

Keeps abreast of technological developments and applications.

Provides technical support on tasks or technology assignments.

Provides strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff.

Provides analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission-critical challenges/issues.

Minimum

Qualifications and Skills:

Three (3) years of experience in Naval Tactical Systems or Information Technology, including one (1) year of demonstrated knowledge and subject matter expertise.

Requires a DoD 8570.01-M or successor Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification.

Must have an active Top Secret/SCI US Government Clearance.

Note:

US Citizenship is required to maintain this clearance.

Candidates must maintain a valid Real r’s license required for access to the customer site and have access to reliable transportation (rideshare options such as Uber, Lyft, etc. are not permitted), as this position requires occasional travel between local worksites during the week.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is desired.
