Position: ISSO with Security Clearance
Apex Systems is currently hiring for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with a U.S. Navy client. Project Details / Mission Supported:
* Support cybersecurity initiatives for U.S. Navy systems in Dahlgren, VA.

* Conduct vulnerability scans and identify security weaknesses using DoD tools such as ACAS and HBSS.

* Apply system, network, and operating system hardening techniques to maintain compliance and security posture.

* Perform application vulnerability assessments and risk/impact evaluations.

* Troubleshoot and resolve cyber defense infrastructure anomalies.

* Share insights to improve organizational risk management and threat mitigation strategies. Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
* Must hold
** CASP or CISSP certification**.

* Experience conducting vulnerability scans and using DoD network analysis tools (e.g., ACAS, HBSS).

* Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security methodologies.

* Proficiency in system, network, and OS hardening techniques.

* Ability to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles relevant to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

* Familiarity with VPN devices, encryption, and securing network communications.

* U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a
** DoD Top Secret clearance**.

Dahlgren, VA Onsite expectation: 4 days onsite, 1 day telework Clearance Level: Top Secret
