Overview

Summary:

Per the description, the worker performs tasks with several steps or sequence of tasks such as setting up food service counters, steam tables, dining room tables and side service stands with hot and cold food, including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread & butter and beverages.

Serves food cafeteria-style to diners and serves tables family-style by placing dishes on tables and refilling as necessary. Makes coffee in large urns according to the number of servings desired, with responsibility for timing and brewing. Prepares a variety of fruit and vegetable salads (e.g., fresh fruit, tossed green salad, tomato and lettuce salad, lettuce wedges). Serves food in standard portions by placing uniform amounts in small dishes or glasses.

Makes simple sandwiches and packs box lunches. Maintains dishwasher water and detergent levels and ensures proper cleaning; removes obstruction and deposits as required and restores the room to orderliness. May unload food from delivery trucks and move heavy garbage cans. May operate a cash register and be responsible for own change fund. Performs other related duties as required.

Conditions of employment

• Must have salary sent to a financial institution by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
• Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
• This position may require weekend and holiday workdays, rotating shifts, or hours other than normal duty hours.
• Starting May 7, 2025, non-affiliated individuals needing access will require a REAL
  -compliant driver’s license or another acceptable form of identification to access CNRMA Installations.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform tasks with several steps and use judgment in sequential tasks.
• Concentration to serve uniform portions and manage multiple requests without errors.
• Simple arithmetic and ability to read instructions.
• Working knowledge of common sanitation procedures to prevent contamination.

Education

This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one-year probationary period. Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer participation within the first 30 days of employment is required. E-Verify is used to confirm eligibility to work in the United States.
