Physical Therapy Program Admissions Specialist
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Physical Therapy Program Admissions Specialist on the Dahlonega campus. This position will manage the admissions process for the Doctorate program in the Physical Therapy Department and serve as the single point of contact for prospective students.
Responsibilities- Evaluate transcripts and reference student records using PTCAS/WebAdMIT to score applications and refer to the Admissions Committee.
- Coordinate open houses, orientation events, campus tours, and virtual meetings for prospective students and parents.
- Coordinate interviews for all prospective students with faculty and clinicians and manage scheduling.
- Collect student confirmation fee and work with the business office to apply credit to student accounts.
- Communicate prerequisites and requirements to other departments and verify immunization and transcript records.
- Maintain student records (photos, address, email, phone, emergency information) and assist with departmental events.
- Manage pre‑admit PT files, submit to director, coordinate orientation events, and handle related reporting.
- Knowledge of office/administrative practices, procedures, technological systems and equipment.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ZOOM, and TEAMS software.
- Experience with Web Admit, Certiphi, Acuity Insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with University System standards and policies.
- Strong organizational, detail‑oriented, and prioritization skills.
- Self‑motivated and independent judgment.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Project management experience.
- Experience maintaining records/databases and using essential math‑based skills.
- Admissions experience; preference for PTCAS/WebAdMIT and Banner skills.
- Experience evaluating transcripts or student affairs experience.
Standard Hiring Range: $21.20 - $23.32 per hour.
