Department Information

The Department of Economics and Finance is part of the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB) and offers a major in finance and minors in economics and Fin Tech. The Department resides in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB), an AACSB‑accredited college of business that offers programs on five campuses in the North Georgia region. The department has a growing enrollment and a collaborative, energetic faculty engaged in quality research and with a strong focus on high‑quality teaching and student engagement.

Job Summary

The Department of Economics and Finance at the University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a part‑time faculty position in economics in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB).

Responsibilities
  • The most likely teaching schedule for this position will be one section of Economics of Financial Literacy (ECON 1101) on the Cumming campus.
  • Use of innovative teaching and learning techniques to provide high‑quality learning experiences for our students is expected.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in economics with at least 18 credit hours of graduate‑level coursework in economics or a commensurate level of professional experience in such fields.
  • A successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to engage students in the learning environment.
