The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Mathematics Tutor/Assistant in the Mathematics Tutorial Center. The Mathematics Tutor(s) reports directly to the office administrator and department head for Mathematics on the Dahlonega Campus. Candidate’s class schedule and availability must coincide with the open lab schedule. Tutoring will begin the second week of classes.
Responsibilities- Tutor Dahlonega campus mathematics students in Math 1101, Math 1111, Math 1113, Math 1401, and Calculus I, II, & III.
- Maintain the tutorial center and assist with keeping the area clean and ready for classes and tutoring sessions.
- Answer questions students may have regarding Mathematics courses.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned by the office administrator and department head.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
- Successful completion, with a grade of B or higher, in the Calculus series (I, II & III).
- Successful completion of at least two 3000 level Mathematics courses at UNG.
- Must have a reference from a Math professor.
- Prior experience is a plus but not required.
