The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for an HR Associate on the Gainesville campus. This position provides comprehensive support, acts as an initial point of contact for HR functions, and will assist with new hire onboarding. This position will also coordinate and manage HR processes, prepare, track and assist with the accurate completion of time‑sensitive and confidential paperwork and correspondence on behalf of the department, and explains and interprets HR rules, policies, and procedures in response to internal and external inquiries, and assists customers with the use of HR systems and automation.
This position assists the Talent Management team with data entry, appointments, and other duties.

Responsibilities- Prioritize and resolve inquiries (phone, e‑mail, in‑person). Greet visitors to the department.
- Oversee completion of hiring‑related paperwork in accordance with Federal, State laws, and university policies.
- Create, maintain, and enter information into databases. Generate IDs, update information in Banner, assist with creating and updating job profiles, complete virtual 1‑9 verification via Zoom and monitor and maintain name and address change requests.
- Process, verify, and maintain personnel‑related documentation. Review and approve or reject completed Student Work Agreements. Collect informational documentation from departments, create UNG welcome folders for new staff employees, and distribute.
- Complete employment verifications for current and former employees. This may include complex salary verification requests for several years of data, including gross pay, overtime pay, vacation payout, compensatory time pay, summer pay, extra compensation, and dual appointments.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and various software.
- Must be able to multi‑task, have effective time management and organizational skills; excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- High School diploma/GED required.
- One year of customer services, administrative, human resources, or related experience is required.
