Position:
Assistant Manager

The JCC Association of North America is seeking a dynamic and talented individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager. As a key player in our organization, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the Jewish community by supporting our mission to strengthen and enhance Jewish life in North America.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Manager in overseeing all aspects of the JCC operation, including programming, staff management, budgeting, and community outreach
  • Assist in day-to-day operations and ensure efficient and effective delivery of services to our members
  • Build and maintain relationships with members, community partners, and stakeholders to promote the JCC's mission and values
  • Collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement creative programs and events that cater to the needs and interests of our community
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate staff to ensure the highest level of customer service and professionalism
  • Monitor and analyze budget performance, making recommendations to ensure financial stability and growth of the JCC
  • Oversee facility maintenance and coordinate repairs and improvements as needed
  • Act as a liaison between the JCC and external vendors to negotiate contracts and ensure the best value for our organization
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a non-profit or community setting
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated track record of building and motivating teams
  • Experience in budgeting, finance, and facility management
  • Passion for and knowledge of Jewish culture and traditions
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with event management software is a plus
