Maintenance Technician

Summary/Objective
The position of Maintenance Tech for the Facility reports to the Facilities Manager. The job will be to perform minor repairs to the facility, small tool repair, minor fabrication, coordinate supplies and replacement parts, and assist in the subassembly operation.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
• Perform Preventative Maintenance Checks on equipment and facility
• Maintain required records
• Maintain needed inventory of facility supplies (filters, bulbs, etc.)
• Repair various small tools (rivet guns, drills, etc.)
• Perform equipment lubrication
• Perform building repair projects
• Plan and select materials needed to complete a job
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area
• Order required maintenance supplies
• Build various subassemblies (tanks, stands, etc.)
• Perform other tasks as required

Requirements And Competencies

• Obtain and maintain lift truck (standup, sit-down, scissor lift) certification
• Follow all PPE and safety requirements in the facility
• Must be able to climb and operate at heights
• Work on small tool repairs
• Must be able to read tape measure, micrometer, calipers
• Perform minor wiring repairs and projects
• Must have lockout/tagout training
• Must be able to use multimeters, voltmeters
• Will work with 120 volts
• Assist with facility-related projects as required
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
• Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds
• Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
• Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including lift trucks, saws, drills, and small hand tools
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• Participate on teams as required

Compensation
The pay range listed is the base pay range that Satellite Shelters, Inc./Satellite Industries, Inc. reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location, and end client requirements).
