The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Multicraft Maintenance Technician II on the Dahlonega campus. This position provides general maintenance support to UNG facilities (Dahlonega and Blue Ridge campuses). Skill sets include HVAC maintenance, drywall, carpentry, minor electrical, painting, and limited support to plumbing trades. Requires specialized service work in at least two building trade disciplines with an emphasis on HVAC and building general repairs.

• Provides service for building maintenance, both preventative and corrective. Primary responsibilities include HVAC maintenance, minor electrical, drywall installation, finishing, and repair.
• Conducts basic repairs to HVAC systems and exhaust fans/hoods.
• Assists other trades (Electrical and Plumbing) as required.
• Maintains tools and equipment needed to perform work.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

• General knowledge of various craft areas with specialization in plumbing and at least two other building maintenance disciplines.
• Physical labor ability, including lifting, pushing, pulling objects up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders up to 32 feet, working from lifts, and performing manual tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Follow specific oral and written instructions accurately.
• Operate equipment and small hand tools safely.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Georgia Driver's License; must own personal cell phone.
• 5 years' experience in building maintenance, including a minimum of 2 years in residential or commercial HVAC.
