We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer with 3+ years hands on experience in high level assembly and volume manufacturing in the technology industry. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes that ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and efficient production of products.
You will have the opportunity to contribute across multiple disciplines and play a key role in scaling production, introducing new products, and driving operational excellence.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic team player working within a small multi-functional group with common goals to cost effectively bring new products and technologies to customers under tight deadlines.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products including scale up from prototype to volume manufacturing.
- Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing, including process development, documentation, and validation.
- Support the development and implementation of Micro OLED and MicroLED test systems within the Dalgety Bay facility.
- Provide day-to-day engineering support to production, resolving technical issues and minimizing downtime.
- Support equipment selection, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and process validation.
- Analyze manufacturing workflows to identify opportunities for productivity improvements, cost reduction, and waste elimination.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, SOPs, and Bills of Materials.
- Work closely with suppliers to resolve manufacturing and quality issues.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with company quality standards and health & safety requirements.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a high-tech, electronics, precision mechanical environment.
- Experience with process development, production support, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a small team.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with ISO quality management systems. ISO 9001, 13485, 14001
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and process validation.
- Experience with automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Experience working in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.

GENERAL:
Hours of work: 39-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm (4:00pm on Friday) with 30 minutes for lunch; the company offers certain flexibility/change of the core working hours in line with the Flexible Working Policy, however; flexibility regarding working hours is also expected from the employee.
LOCATION:
The right to live and work in the UK is a pre-requisite for this position. The role is based on site in the Company's facility in St. David's Business Park, Dalgety Bay, Fife. Candidate must be within commutable distance to our Dalgety Bay, Fife location. A small amount of travel may be required.
