3rd Class Power Engineer

Reporting to the Central Plant Manager, this position requires a valid 3rd Class Power Engineer’s certificate and a minimum of three years of related experience. You will operate boilers and chillers, conduct inspections, and maintain a clean working environment. Safety and compliance with Nova Scotia regulations are paramount in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain boilers and chillers effectively

• Monitor thermal plant systems for safety and efficiency

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections as directed

• Respond to critical alarms and investigate issues

• Maintain accurate log sheets and reports

Requirements:

• Valid 3rd Class Power Engineer’s certificate

• Three years of related experience required

• Knowledge of computer control systems

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Flexibility in working hours and shifts required
