Dalhousie University seeks dedicated Custodians to ensure cleanliness in classrooms, offices, and other facilities. As a key part of the Environmental Services team, you’ll perform essential tasks like sweeping, dusting, and disinfecting, while fostering a welcoming environment for students and staff. This position involves physical demands, including extensive standing and moving around the campus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dust horizontal and vertical surfaces for cleanliness

• Sweep, dry-mop, and wet-mop floors using appropriate tools

• Vacuum mats and carpet areas to maintain hygiene

• Clean and disinfect washrooms, replenishing supplies as needed

• Remove refuse and transfer waste to disposal areas

Requirements:

• Relevant previous custodial experience required

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision

• Good organizational and communication skills

• Willingness to work overtime when necessary

• WHMIS training is an asset
