Job Description & How to Apply Below

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development professional to take ownership of local BD activity within a busy professional services environment. With responsibility for events, client targeting, legal directories and pitches, no two days will be the same.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Supporting the delivery of business development plans, campaigns and strategic initiatives.
  • Building and maintaining target lists and client information within the CRM system.
  • Coordinating business development trips and preparing client meeting materials.
  • Managing legal directory submissions and associated deadlines.
  • Organising and delivering business development events from planning through to execution.
  • Supporting the preparation of pitches, proposals, presentations and marketing materials.
  • Producing client reports, business development analysis and management information.
  • Managing business development budgets, invoices and expenditure.
  • Maintaining marketing merchandise and promotional materials.
  • Working closely with partners, fee earners and colleagues across multiple jurisdictions to support business growth.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previous business development experience gained within a professional services environment, with experience in a legal firm being particularly advantageous. Candidates whose background is solely within marketing, communications or PR are unlikely to be suitable. They will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, together with strong organisational, project management and stakeholder management abilities. A degree-level education is preferred, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

The successful candidate will be a confident self-starter, capable of working independently as the sole Business Development professional within the Guernsey office while collaborating effectively with a wider international team. Applicants must hold the right to work in Guernsey.
