Trainee Fund Administrator/Fund Administrator

Job

Our client is recruiting for both trainee and experienced candidates to support the administration of a portfolio of funds and investment companies. This permanent role provides structured development, exposure to investor servicing and the opportunity to build long-term expertise in fund administration!

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Supporting the administration of a portfolio of funds and investment companies in line with service agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaising professionally with fund sponsors, investment advisers, brokers, bankers, auditors and shareholders.
  • Processing payments and banking transactions in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Assisting with preparation and distribution of shareholder statements, reports and statutory returns.
  • Supporting bank account openings and maintaining investor files and statutory registers.
  • Assisting with investor distributions, drawdowns and related transactions under supervision.
  • Working with Compliance to request and collate CDD/KYC documentation.
  • Arranging, attending and minuting board and shareholder meetings where required.
  • Undertaking company secretarial duties, including statutory filings and registry submissions.
  • Providing general administrative support including document management and correspondence preparation.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a sound educational background and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy. They will demonstrate good IT proficiency, including Excel and standard office tools, and be comfortable learning fund administration and banking platforms. For trainee-level applicants, prior financial services experience is not essential, but a strong work ethic, willingness to study towards a professional qualification and a genuine interest in fund administration are key.

For administrator-level applicants, previous experience in fund administration or a related financial services role would be advantageous, alongside familiarity with Guernsey fund structures and regulatory requirements.
