Private Equity Accounting Consultant

Our client is seeking a Consultant to join their Private Equity Operations team, supporting accounting and operational delivery for a major institutional client. The position combines technical accounting expertise with leadership, client interaction and process improvement responsibilities.

• Administering and overseeing private equity accounting operations and client deliverables.
• Coordinating accounting timetables and deliverables across global teams.
• Reviewing financial reporting and statutory accounts in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.
• Supporting complex fund valuations, distributions, drawdowns and fee calculations.
• Acting as a technical point of contact for accounting matters within the PE accounting team.
• Maintaining strong relationships with investment advisors, auditors and stakeholders.
• Supporting process improvements and operational enhancements.
• Assisting with Board reporting and attendance at client meetings where required.
• Monitoring KPIs and supporting internal reporting activities.
• Mentoring and supporting junior team members across the department.

The ideal candidate will hold a professional accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA and demonstrate strong experience within private equity, fund accounting or financial services. They will possess strong technical knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, alongside excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience working with complex structures, fund operations and financial reporting is essential, along with strong organisational and analytical abilities.
