Our client is recruiting a Trust Officer to deliver high-quality administration and client service across a portfolio of trust and corporate structures! The role combines day-to-day portfolio management with mentoring responsibilities in a collaborative environment.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing the day-to-day administration of a defined portfolio of trust and corporate clients.
  • Ensuring client databases and statutory records are accurate and up to date, including shareholder and beneficial owner registers.
  • Supporting bookkeeping processes and liaising with accounting teams to resolve queries and review accounts where appropriate.
  • Opening and closing client bank accounts and monitoring cash balances in line with internal policies.
  • Ensuring client instructions are fulfilled accurately and in accordance with procedures.
  • Attending client meetings and preparing supporting documentation.
  • Reviewing investment holdings and liaising with investment advisers where required.
  • Incorporating legal entities and forming trusts in relevant jurisdictions in line with registry requirements.
  • Supporting tax compliance reviews and ensuring structures are managed in line with advice and deadlines.
  • Monitoring time utilisation and financial targets, managing cash flow and producing client fee invoices.
  • Providing support and guidance to less experienced team members and identifying development opportunities.
  • Assuming authorised signatory responsibilities where appropriate.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge within the trust and fiduciary arena, alongside a working understanding of tax and corporate governance matters. They may hold or be working towards a professional qualification such as STEP or CGI and will maintain ongoing CPD requirements. They will demonstrate excellent communication skills, high attention to detail and the ability to manage moderately complex matters with appropriate support.

A proactive and organised approach is essential, alongside the ability to meet deadlines and deliver consistently high standards of client service. A positive, committed and commercially aware mindset will ensure success in this role.
