St David's RC High School is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher with a preferred specialism in Physics to join our successful and dynamic staff team. Although a Physics specialism is preferred, Biology and Chemistry teachers are also welcome to apply. Our current roll stands at 759 and we have a caring and inclusive ethos built on our ASPIRE values.
The school offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities, and a strong record of achievement.
The school management team consists of Headteacher; 3 Depute Headteachers; 9 Principal Teachers (Curriculum Leaders); 4 Principal Teachers (Guidance);

Regulated Work with Children
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. PVG Scheme membership is required prior to commencing employment; the cost is met by the applicant and may be deducted from salary in instalments as described below.
The PVG Scheme fees are as follows:
Full PVG Scheme Membership £59 ( deducted over 6 pay periods); PVG Scheme Record Update £18 (deducted over 2 pay periods). An unfinished repayment at employment end may be deducted from final salary.
We ask applicants to disclose any unspent convictions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Disclosures should be provided in confidence. Failure to disclose a conviction subsequently advised through a Disclosure Scotland check may affect the offer of appointment. Having a criminal record will not necessarily debar an applicant; decisions will depend on the position and circumstances.
