Location: Newtongrange
Rising Talent is delighted to be working exclusively with Nairn s Oatcakes as they look to add an Engineer with an electrical bias to their engineering team.
Based at their site in Bonnyrigg this is a hands‑on role focused on keeping plant and equipment running safely, reliably and efficiently, with a good mix of planned and reactive maintenance.
You ll be involved in:- Planned preventative maintenance
- Reactive maintenance and fault finding
- Equipment repairs and reliability
- Installation and commissioning of equipment
- Identifying recurring faults and putting longer-term fixes in place
- Supporting continuous improvement and reducing downtime
- Managing engineering spares and maintenance records
- Working closely with Production and Technical teams
- Ensuring engineering work meets H&S, GMP, hygiene and food safety standards
- Engineering apprenticeship is essential
- HNC/HND would be desirable
- Experience with in food manufacturing or FMCG would be advantageous
- Experience with PPM systems
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Someone practical, organised and comfortable working independently
